HPS Carbon Front Wing 930
930mm x 155mm / High Aspect
The High Performance Speed (HPS) wings are FAST. Designed for the ultimate in performance, yet still usable by most levels of riders. Since the HPS wings use their own foil section with less camber and narrower chord, AXIS developed a special fuselage that will accommodate all the HPS and future performance front wings.
The HPS wings are the ideal performance wings for WINGING and DOWNWIND. High level riders also SUP, PRONE, WAKE and WINDSURF foil the bigger sizes, while the smaller sizes are perfect for TOW, freestyle WINGING and KITE foiling.
This is a new generation of front wings made for FAST performance riding, while it’s still stable and predictable with an enormous amount of glide and great turning.
As with every AXIS front wing, the graphics on the wings give you all possible measurements so you can best compare and also quickly swap pieces or get new accessories for your foil.

Progressive 375 Rear Wing
The AXIS Progressive Rear Wings are our very latest thinking in rear wing design, suitable for more advanced riders and perfectly paired with our HPS, ART or smaller BSC and PNG wings. Mostly flat but with a very subtle downturn, these wings combine excellent speed with sensational turning.
Who are the AXIS Progressive rear wings for?
The AXIS Progressive rear wings are all round wings for intermediate and advanced riders paired with higher performance front wings such as HPS, ART, PNG and BSC front wings.
You notice the difference in your first carve or gybe.
Why did we design the AXIS Progressive rear wings?
We got super hooked on the locked in, fast, stable feel of the AXIS Speed 380/60 and 420/60 rear wings, and still are for flat water blasting and racing for winging and big, fast waves for foil surfing. But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive 350/63, 375/64, 400/65, 425/66, 450/67 and 475/68 rears have delivered it in spades.
Medium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, this new design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. Itās super well behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section itās still rewardingly quick. The Progressive rear wings will feel like a natural extension of your feet.
Riders are finding the Progressive rears pair beautifully with our AXIS ART and AXIS HPS high aspect front wings, and theyāll work very well with any foil for riders looking to improve their turns and carves. As always, size your Progressive rear wing to your experience and front wing size. (larger sizes for less experienced riders and larger front wing pairings)
We obsess over rear wings, almost to the point that itās a problem. Weāve tried to get professional help but the prototypes just keep getting churned out by our design team on a weekly basis, and we canāt help but test, analyze, pontificate, redesign ā and on and on it goes.
You may be thinking ā why do rear wings matter? Arenāt they just stabilizers to balance the front wing? Well thatās what many thought too ā in the very early days. We know that your rear wing can change your life. Okay thatās not quite true, but it will significantly affect the ride characteristics of your whole foil set up.
Black Ultrashort Advance Fuselage
If you’re into pushing the envelope in wave riding (Prone, SUP, Wing or Wake) these will blow your mind. Are you looking to push harder, carve tighter turns and want an even more connected surf experience? Our new Black ADVANCEĀ fuselage configuration is for you. This design sees the mast position advanced 40mm closer to the front foil, opening up entirely new options for surf performance. Our Current Black fuselage range is perfectly suited to the majority of riders across all disciplines, while these new BlackĀ ADVANCE fuselages are not intended to replace them but provide options for performance and a more connected feel when pushing the limits. If you are an intermediate or expert surf / wave foiler, this could be a great upgrade for you.Ā
A consideration when moving the mast position on the fuselage forward is that the effective length of the rear fuselage back to the rear stabilizing foil is increased by the distance the mast moves forward. For this reason we are introducing a new fuselage size the āSillyshortā. When choosing your Advance Black Fuselage, itās advisable to take this into consideration and perhaps opt for a length shorter than you are used to using. If youāre currently using an Ultrashort, you might consider the Crazyshort instead. Available inĀ Ultrashort,Ā CrazyshortĀ and an all newĀ SillyshortĀ (just 560mm). Compatible with ART and HPS wings, but also suitable for the smaller sizes in our PNG and BSC wings. Compared to our current Black fuselage range, these 3 new little siblings provide a looser,Ā faster transition from side-to-side. The sensation our testersĀ liked it for is similar to the sensation of moving fins forward in the tracks on a surfboard, initiating turns becomes easier, which is great in the surf. There is a small trade-off, this ease of turning comes as at the expense of some tracking and speed stability. (So expect to have a small effect on upwind ability when winging and a need to adjust pumping technique slightly. If you are into ultra high speed big wave riding, you should consider the regular black fuselages instead).
19mm Alloy Foil Mast
Designed for the AXIS S-Series and K-Series Foils, the AXIS masts are stiff, strong, and ready for any use and conditions. AXIS designed their masts for 2020 to give their foilers a very direct feeling to their foil, which is critical for foiling. They even sourced their own high-quality aluminum and bought tons of it, to ensure they only have the highest quality raw materials for their foils. Their K/S Series masts are 224% stiffer than the 15mm thick masts (most other foils on the market). It’s even stiffer and any other carbon mast on the market today. This gives you more control and fast input from your feet to the front wing.
45cmĀ The 45cm foil mast is ideal for your first flights, while you are learning how to start to foil. Most riders spend only a few hours or less on the shortest foil mast AXIS makes (45cm) before they graduate to the longer foil masts.
60cmĀ The 60cm mast is the most common mast that you will start putting hours on. You will ride it for a while before you move up to a taller mast, when you SUP, Surf, Downwind, Wake or Kite. Some riders might never need a taller mast, depending on their style, local conditions or discipline of riding.
68cmĀ The 68cm is the most common foil mast length for prone surf foiling and all round SUP. If there is one size mast for SUP, prone surf, or wake foiling, the 68cm mast will be your choice.
75cmĀ The 75cm mast is mostly used on bigger surf, downwinders and more advanced riding with the S-Series foil, or as a surfy option for the K-Series foil (Kite Foiling).
90cmĀ The 90cm mast is the choice of big wave enthusiasts and tow-ins, when combined with the S-Series 680 front wing. It’s also the choice of downwinder pros when competing in open ocean swell. The AXIS 90cm mast is the main size mast for wind foilers and kite foilers (K-Series), when they are not beginners any longer.
105cmĀ The 105cm mast is mostly used for big swell downwinders with the S-Series foil, or for more aggressive riding and speed with the K-Series foil (Kite Foiling).
Power Carbon Foil Mast & Base Plate
TheĀ AXISĀ ARTĀ high aspect foil range was the single biggest foiling advancement to date. It delivered more speed, more glide and razor-sharp turning with industry-leading ease of ride.Ā
But 2022 is the year of the mast. The AXISĀ Power CarbonĀ mast.Ā
Whether winging at speed, laying deep carves on a wave face or pumping and linking up swells on a downwinder ā AXISĀ Power CarbonĀ enters a new realm of control and connection between board and foil.
Itās the next giant leap in foiling performance. And once again itās brought to you by AXIS.
High aspect foils = higher loads on masts
During earlyĀ ARTĀ foil testing, our research team quickly realized that higher aspect ratios and broader foil spans applied more bending and twisting forces to the mast. So whileĀ ARTĀ foils were a game-changer even on our existing masts, we knew there was still huge untapped potential to be realized.
And so began a whole new development project, and we couldnāt be more excited at the result. With a new power profile and carefully considered material selection and placement, AXISĀ Power CarbonĀ delivers both superior stiffness with next-level strength.
More Details
Opting for a one-piece design, we avoided the flow/drag and jointing issues associated with multi-part mast constructions.
Additionally and more importantly, testing proves that maximum loading is concentrated close to the baseplate and this is why the mast tapers thicker at this point to handle the loads. Any joins or two-piece construction at this high load area would destroy the integrity of the mast.
A revisedĀ fuselage connection design maximizes the size of theĀ attachment pointĀ to achieve a perfect fit to the fuselage reducing any chance of unwanted movement.
The result is a positive connected feel, direct drive, immediate feedback and ultimate control. High aspect foils perform as they should, feel and control enter an entirely new realm.
The newĀ High Modulus CarbonĀ fibre used in our mast layup is considerably stiffer and stronger than the regular carbon fibre used in conventional constructions. Innovative, considered and balanced placement of materials in our proprietary production process paired with rigorous testing has delivered a breathtaking performance leap.
Ride characteristics are so game-changing, that itās been a struggle to get our team riders to return the prototypes after testing!
Feedback featured claims like āa way more positive and connected feelā, āimmediate feedbackā and āultimate controlā.
Choose your Power level
Our new masts are available in two models, theĀ Power CarbonĀ andĀ Power Carbon – High Modulus, the latter providing additional strength and 35% more bend resistance than our industry-leading 19mm aluminium mast. The High Modulus will be the mast of choice for the mostĀ discerningĀ rider seeking ultimate performance, and heavier riders using our larger span foils.

With AXISĀ Power CarbonĀ masts, riders will finally be at one with the foil.
AXISĀ Power CarbonĀ Masts have a new and greatly improved base connection design. While fully compatible with all existing Red & Black fuselage, a new installation technique/method is required, this involves simply inserting the mast leading edge first into the fuselage opening, then rotating the trailing edge down. Removal is done in reverse, trailing edge rotates out first… super simple!
Remember use only 30mm M8 bolts to attach fuselage toĀ Power CarbonĀ masts
